The NFRC, the UK’s oldest and largest trade body for the roofing industry, has launched its new online platform to deliver the latest roofing information from the NFRC, its members and beyond, including technical and non-technical advice, case studies, insights and analysis. It also includes jobs, training and events sections.
NFRC’s Head of Marketing and Communications Amanda Brackey, who has led the development of the website wants it to become a valuable resource for both NFRC members and professionals within the wider industry.
“We’ve got an excellent existing website with a members-only area containing detailed technical advice and other information, which will continue to be a real benefit to members,” she said.
“The aim of the Roofing Times is make the guidance and best practice that’s already available to the wider public, much more accessible. We also want to reach a wider audience, including architects, specifiers and other customers, so this is a chance for roofing contractors and suppliers to share their stories, products and services.”
The Roofing Times will also examine some of the topics and challenges for the wider construction industry and what these might mean for roofing contractors and suppliers, whether it be skills, digital technology, sustainability or the growth of offsite.
“The roofing sector, along with the rest of the construction industry, is undergoing rapid transformation, and as the roofing sector’s leading trade body, we want to be at the forefront of guiding the sector through this period of change. We therefore hope that the Roofing Times will be a useful resource for helping our readers understand these challenges but also the opportunities they might bring.”
A monthly Roofing Times e-magazine will be automatically delivered to NFRC members, although non-members can subscribe for free. The current members-only e-newsletter, containing NFRC news, information and other member-only content, will continue to be delivered on a monthly basis.
